Welcome Class of 2017,

Congratulations on your acceptance into North Carolina State University, but more importantly, on your ultimate decision to make NCSU your home for the next four years.

I realize that fraternities may not yet be on your mind but Greek Life plays a vital role on NCSU's campus. When you choose to pledge a Greek fraternity, I can promise you that like me, you will not regret your decision. Just like you will be looking for the best organization for yourself, we Pi Kapps are looking for a specific group of men to join our ranks. Our fraternity reinforces academic pursuits, gentlemanly behavior, development of leadership, daily and large-scale, personal ethics, and offers the advantages of team effort and support.

Pi Kapps also find time to have many social functions at NCSU including Mountain Weekend, and Beach Weekend, where we are the only fraternity that does both of these events. Other events include Carolina Cup, Formal and Semi-Formal, Football tailgates, and last but not least Sorority Mixers.

The Tau Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi currently maintains one of the largest brotherhoods at NCSU. Our Alumni base is comparatively large with over 1300 active alumni. Some more well know alumnus include Lonnie C. Poole, the single largest donor to NCSU to finance the School of Management, now known as the Poole School of Management and the Golf Course now known as the Lonnie Poole Golf Course. And Stuart 'Ed' White was one of three engineering graduates to receive The Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award.

We invite you to see what Pi Kappa Phi is all about this upcoming fall by joining our facebook group, Pi Kappa Phi Spring Rush 2012, or visiting our Website to see our upcoming rush events leading to Formal Rush the first week of the Fall Semester. Also, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any of my brothers if you have any questions.
